YOUNG WARDENS MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES – JANUARY 2008

1. Opening Prayer
2. Chinese New Year Mass
- Wardens to wear outside clothes when serving during the mass
- Refrain from wearing black and white
- Packing of oranges: Manpower required on Friday, 23th
3. Lo Hei – 7th Feb
- 7.30pm @ St Mike’s Church
- Full price: $18; Young Wardens will be subsidized, to pay $9
4. Valentine’s Day Fund-raising
- 15th Feb, after 9.30am mass
- YWs to help out on the 14th and 15th Feb
- Food to be sponsored by Alex’s mum (To be confirmed)
5. Holy Week – April
- Young Wardens to do planning, headed by Moses
- Adult wardens can be rostered, but will not be involved in the planning
6. Mother’s Day – 2nd week of May
- Teach P1-4 to make handicraft
- $75 budget, approved by Fr Peter
- Suggestions: buy more materials like glitter and beads
7. Father’s Day – 2nd week of June
- Suggestions: give cookies, make badges or keychains
8. St Mike’s Carnival – September
- Sell canned drinks and mineral water
- Get sponsors for drinks
9. Young Wardens Annual General Meeting 2009
- 22nd Nov (tentative date)
10. End of year camp
- Overseas to Kucop (how do you spell it?)
- Date and Place to be confirmed
11. Change of Full Uniform
- Black jacket with coloured shirt
- Mass-purchase from shop
12. Tie-pin
- Tentative idea, proposal to be done by Eugene
13. Minutes and Agenda
- EXCO should have an agenda and bring past month’s minutes for each meeting
- Monthly minutes should be emailed to adult wardens and Fr. Peter
- Aunty Elizabeth will print the past meeting’s minutes for us before each meeting
14. Commitment issues
- Do not include YWs above 21 in roster without their consent
15. Church etiquette
- All wardens must be punctual for mass
- Opening & closing prayer for every mass is compulsory
- Females serving on 2nd floor to wear pants/ longer skirts
